In 1968, in Altoona, Pennsylvania, Delta Health Technologies® (originally named Delta Computer Systems) purchased its first mainframe computer. Shortly after, Delta began offering data processing services to the community. To this day, serving the community is a guiding principle at Delta.
By 1974, less than six years after opening its doors, Delta was experiencing rapid growth. Due to shifts in public policy, the homecare industry was growing. Delta responded by developing homecare software that would soon be sold across the United States. Working with nonprofit visiting nurse associations and other industry stakeholders added invaluable insight and effectiveness to its solutions.
In 2008, Delta celebrated its 40th year in business. Nestled in a valley of the Allegheny Mountains of central Pennsylvania, Delta Health Technologies® has become a deeply rooted part of the growing homecare industry. Proud of its small community beginnings, the company has maintained its attitude of accessibility, practicality and a personal touch. The company has been built by caring people – for people who do the same for others. This is both its heritage and legacy.
